Responsibilities:
o Responsible for all SEC reporting including 10Ks, 10Qs, etc.
o Manage the global process for developing SEC reports
o Primary writer of business section and MD&A
o Reviews content in relation to current GAAP and disclosure requirements
o US GAAP expert for the global company.
o Researches US GAAP treatment for new business transactions.
o Is alert to changes in in the global business operations which may have accounting implications.
o Stays abreast of current literature and developments in accounting.  Is aware of current accounting issues that external audit firms are increasing oversight on.  Leads initiatives required in the global financial organization to address these issues in advance of being asked or reviewed by external audit firm.
o Develops and maintain global accounting policies.
o This position is responsible for ensuring all public reports are prepared in accordance with US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.  This requires an in depth knowledge of the financial statements being prepared worldwide.  
o Reviews in details the financial statements of subsidiaries to ensure compliance with GAAP.
o Works closely with financial staff to educate them on new issues as well as ensure GAAP compliance.
o This position is the main point of contact with external auditors.  Develops a good working relationship with the auditors.  Is the focal point for receiving all audit points as well as developing responses.
o Reviews accounting implications of proposed M&A activities both from an initial transaction viewpoint as well as ongoing reporting requirements.  Leads portion of due diligence efforts related to conversion to US GAAP as well as accuracy of current financial reports.

Personal attributes:

o Expert knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
o Past experience as Senior Manager in big four audit firm preferred
o Bachelor's degree; CPA required.  MBA preferred.
o Experienced with large multinational operations.
o Good communicator.  Works wells with international finance staffs.
o Firm and decisive.  Highly disciplined.
o Capable of growing into a Corporate Controller position as next level of advancement.
o Some international travel required to Asia.  Bilingual skills � English/Mandarin a plus.
